Life is moving on, winter is upon us, and time is moving fast!!

I can’t believe that little baby Fern is already 2 months old….

We are enjoying smiles, sparkly eyes and amazing faces these days…. I never knew how rewarding motherhood would be, even if I’m not sleeping, one smile can somehow melt away all exhaustion and frustration!!

I am also happy to say that I am spending some time back in the studio, and boy o boy, do I have some great work for you!!!

On September 25th at 3:45, everything changed, my world shifted.

Baby Fern was born at home, healthy and perfect

Baby Fern and Family will be there!!!

Today is the first day of fall, a day of transition, reflection and celebration.

Today is also one day close to meeting my dear little baby that is still wiggling wonderfully inside my belly…

Any day now, I can feel it…. my body is changing, shifting, preparing…

I have a few announcements and then I will share with you the last of the pregnancy creations.

For those of you who were expecting to see me, or visit my booth at the “Just For Us” Show this weekend,

I will NOT be showing this year.

I apologize, I needed to cancel the show, as it was just too close to my due date, and I felt the need to stay home and keep things nice and relaxed.

I have learnt many lessons already from my pregnancy, the biggest being; To know when enough is enough…

My second announcement is that I am now officially on maternity leave until the end of November.

This means that:

the Studio will remain open Friday to Sunday 12-5

However, you will not find me there, nor will I be returning any business calls until the end of my leave.

Please do come and pay my mother a visit!!! She will be taking care of the studio while I am away and

Once the baby is born she will no doubt have many stories and photos at the studio to share…

She is a VERY excited and PROUD grandma!!

I have LOTS of new and wonderful work at the studio, so it will definitely be worth your while to come, and I do suggest coming sooner than later, as I will not be producing any more pieces this year, and I hope that all my creations will last for you all through to the Christmas season…

I also do hope to be posting some new work on Etsy, just stay tuned as I am moving (or should I say waddling) quite slowly these days.

The Summer is passing us by and soon we head towards crisp nights, and a change of pace…

Change is so exciting, so refreshing and so mystifying….

Yes, it can be scary, but what would life be without change?? In light of some changes that are happening in my life, I have been VERY creative and working very hard to get to a very centered place in preparation for motherhood and giving birth..

Naturally for me, Opal is a main source of inspiration….

Fire, Water, Divine Feminine and creativity… An opal for me is just like a woman….

so delicate, yet so strong, full of colour, fire, water and life….. they reveal different colours in different lights, resonating what they are surrounded by and contain a mystifying depth to them, almost as if they are keepers of some kind of sacred lost wisdom that one can only experience by honouring them in the right way…. loving them, instilling confidence, pride and joy through shared experiences….

We are creators, We are keepers, We are Lovers

sometimes I feel sooooo overwhelmed by this, I want to shout it out from the top of the Mountain Tops, I want every woman to know how powerful and beautiful she really is…

Jewellery is my way to create symbolism and metaphor, a way to honour how precious you really are, by creating something beautiful and precious for you….. All I can hope for is that you feel my sincerity and love and that you honour yourself for all that you are.

Words cannot describe what life has been like, how I LOVE this journey and growing a baby in my belly…This for me has been the ultimate experience, my ultimate passion and love… Full of joy, peace, tears, new discoveries, un-comfort, love, awe, honour,  and complete humility.

I am ecstatic to be in diving into baby land soon…. Shows have been great… exhausting…

I have so much new work, and have not had the time to photograph any of it…. All I can say, is come by for a visit… come to a show, e-mail me and come to the studio before September 9th (my official maternity leave)

In the meantime I am focusing on food and belly, preparing to give birth and to transition into motherhood.

What an experience.

I want to breath it all in, drink it all up and simmer myself in the essence of this precious time.

I am back, and I missed you all!!

What a treat to come home to such INCREDIBLE thunderstorms…

I have to say…. I am LOVING this weather…. I love the moods, the sounds, the smells and textures…

I could just devour them all!!

We had an amazing time adventuring in the middle east, but I have to say, there is nothing like home.

The more I go away, the more I realize how much I love where I live.

How much I love my own bed…

On the baby front, things are amazing…

My little one is kicking and flipping and I can feel the baby 90% of the time which is a super profound experience,

I sometimes just sit in awe watching my tummy jolt and roll… There are no words to describe this sensation.

Babe and I did great in Israel, we did all that we went to do… We floated in the dead sea, we swam in desert waterfalls, tasted the delicious and delicate foods and sites of Jerusalem, picked Cherries and Peaches up north and of course spent some sweet family time…

Our biggest accomplishment is that we climbed Masada and even walked down the Mountain afterwards!!

We got up at about 3:30 in morning to climb in the dark and reach the top for sunset….

Gem Silica

These pieces come from the Ray Mine in Arizona and from one of the kindest cutter/geologists? I know.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this stone, is it a rare combination of Chrysacolla and Quartz, and has the most wonderful aqua glowy colour to it… It is also very rare and expensive, but I do have a knack for sussing out the true beauties of the gem world…hehehehehehe

SO much life, so much inspiration….

I am in awe.

Emiliano and I are off on a family trip to Israel on Monday and we are soooo excited…. so is the little one in my belly, I have been feeling little flips and kicks all week…. what a profound feeling.

We are planning to travel all over, ride on camels, hike in the desert, climb Masada and float in the Dead Sea…

Some think I am crazy to want to do all of this at 5 months pregnant….

my response is:

This is the best time for adventure!! I have sooooo much energy, and I feel sooo full of life and vitality…

so I am going to LIVE to the max!!!

Anyways, I was hoping to keep this short and sweet, but I guess I need to ramble… its just so satisfying.

On the studio front, things have been shifting gears, and I have finished a lovely handful of beauties this week… I offer them to you…
